It is also huge and I feel extremely relaxed that all of my hard work on it has paid off and imagine it handed down through the generations now.
I've made a start on my ' Cat and Mouse ' Scatty scatter cushion and that's also looking gorgeous already and will slowly come to life over the next couple of weeks.
I don't usually sew in the evenings because the mixture of the artificial lighting and the sewing machine sends my eyes all googly. However, this week has been a must because I'm desperately trying to sew up some new things to take to the boutique in Aubusson on Saturday.
I'm so very excited about the boutique and what it may bring to Button Fayre. It's already a fantastic start here in France and will hopefully open doors for me now. It feels very odd indeed to tell people that I sell my items in a real shop now and Button Fayre has moved so fast in the last few months that it's all rather overwhelming at times too but it never distracts me from the fact that I couldn't have done it without so much love and support in the Facebook crafting community and for that I'll always be eternally grateful.
So, here are a few of the bags ready for Saturday and I think they're super cute!
These drawstring bags are so pretty and instead of cord I've used ribbon which gives a special touch. They're also fully lined with beautiful coordinating fabrics and all of the fabrics I buy are extremely good quality to ensure something beautiful and unique.
They're about the size of a washbag and excite me because they have so many possibilities to be ' Button Fayre'd '. Of course, when I have more time, I will be able to add appliqué and mix and match them up similar to my gadget cases which will be fun but for now these ones are all ready for the boutique and I certainly will feel very proud indeed taking these along!
