I am super busy at the moment, designing and completing orders and also trying to make enough for my upcoming craft fair in November.
I'm very excited about this craft fair as it's my first and so many wonderful people have given me advice about how to set my table up, what to take with me, etc.
I'm not worried about anything except that I won't have enough on the day! I'd planned to make one or two cushions too but they take anything up to 18 hours each and I just don't have the time at the moment.
It's all an experience and something I'll know better for next year which is great and so for 2014 I am definately making Christmas items throughout the year, to be prepared, and to have enough stock for craft fairs.
My most popular item at the moment that I've had lots of orders for are my Christmas mini sacks. These are essentially drawstring bag designs that I've adapted using Christmas fabrics and co-ordinating ribbons and all are fully lined with contrasting fabrics. I've had to order more red spotty fabric in as I'm using rather a lot of that one!
I wanted to offer an alternative to a stocking and I think these have done the job which is great. It's nice to do something a bit different now and then and these sacks really are so cute.
They do however use up over a fat quarter of fabric for each one which is rather a lot but I think they're worth it.
I've also been busy making sweetie bags for orders too and I'm hoping they do well at my craft fair!
Here are 3 that I designed to look like old fashioned sweetie bags when a child would walk into a pharmacy and choose their sweeties, half a penny by half a penny.......that was me! he he he You could fill this whole bag with 20p.
Orders are coming in fast and so I'm soon going to have to work out a cut-off date for Christmas. If you like these mini sacks and sweetie bags then order quickly to avoid disappointment!
