Another super busy week completing orders and designing and making enough phone cases for my upcoming craft fair in Aubusson 23200, France.
I'm extremely excited about this fair because it's my first and I really can't wait to have the experience. I've done so much preparation work so far and really want to present my creations well too which I think will be worth it, I'm a firm believer that presentation goes a long way.
I decided upon iPhone 5 cases as they're the new, latest, thing and also their measurements seem to fit quite a lot of other phones too, even if they're smaller because it doesn't matter as long as the phone fits inside.
If I get the time then I'll make up a few Nokia Lumia ones too and possibly some Samsung ( as these are apparently the popular ones according to my teenage children! )
Here are a few of the cases so far and they are beautiful! I do make more extravagent gadget cases with mix and match fabrics, buttons and ribbons but decided to make these plain for the fair. I did however choose some beautiful fabrics to make them with and fully lined each one with contrasting felt for protection.
Aren't they gorgeous?! I'm so thrilled with how they've turned out and to make things even more special I added my personalised luggage tags with the prices and a short description on the back and my mini cards ( with designs of my own work on them ) to the presentation. It works so well and all of that colour is just so exciting to see, I love it!
I've also been busy after a new wool fabric and tweed order. My new green tweed isn't Harris tweed but it is a beautiful quality nonetheless and the wool fabrics are extraordinary. I chose some bright base colours and couldn't resist making a brooch up yesterday which is amazing....see for yourselves!
This brooch has a bright pink wool exterior, a green tweed second layer and a Liberty centre, the beauty!
Lots more of these to come in some sumptuous colours.
I have candy cane mice, bookmarks and lots more brooches to make this week-end for my craft fair and then next week-end I can concentrate on pulling all preparations together, making any last minute creations and getting ready for the 24th!
In between time I'm also working on another new idea that I'm really hoping I can get ready in time for my craft fair too, it's all go but I'm loving the whole experience!
Have a great week-end!
